Artist Spotlight- Brandi Weinette

A fellow Stampin Up demonstrator shared about a Birthday Party she did for a bunch of teen girls recently. I thought many of you would like to hear how it went.

"During one of my party's recently, I had a guest ask about doing Birthday parties for kids. I said absolutely. I had just demonstrated making an invitation using the Rockabilly paper and the Top Note Die.
I met with the birthday girl, and she loved the invitations, the paper, the journal idea, just all of it. She helped make enough invitations to send to her friends. At her party the girls (who were roughly 13 years old) got to choose 1 sheet of designer paper from either the Rockabilly line or the Pink Flamingo line. In addition, they got 2 sheets of cardstock to coordinate with their sheet of paper. I helped them to cut the paper to cover their journals. I showed them several options of cutting the paper to have both sides showing on the front of their journals.

They did a great job of make their journals personal and fun. I provided the 'define you life' stamp set as well as various other words for them to use. I also provided the Big Shot and the Simple Serif Alphabet dies so they could put their initials on them. They had great fun, and the party was a big success. Here are the photos...
