Shelli Gardner and Sherrill Graff at the Stampin Up convention 2010

The first day of convention after going to momento mall I went to the awards booth to pick up my pins and free stamp sets. I was asked if I wanted a bag with that and I said no thanks and put the items in my new tote. I love these pins and free stamps!
As I was getting ready to walk away they said I had made Founders Circle, I was shocked.. started to go crazy jumping around and slapping the counter. I had no idea I was even close to earning this!!!

Of course I was crying with joy and they asked to take my photo red faced, tears and all ...... lol

I was blessed to have my photo taken with Shelli at this years convention. This photo turned out so much better than the other one.
Under this cool exterior is a pretty pleased stamper!!! What can get better than this!

I called home to tell my family and guess what... My HUSBAND HAS A JOB! he's been unemployed for the past 9 months, oh what a great week this has been!

Thank heavens for answered prayers and unexpected blessings too!
Looking forward to working hard to make this another great year!

Christ is Born and Ronald McDonald House...

Post By Monica Weaver

Good Morning Stampers,

Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend. I am full of energy today and feeling great. Yeah! Today I would like to share with you another swap I created for an organized swap at convention. This card was my swap for the Technique Swap and I thought this was the perfect opportunity to showcase the beauty of dry embossing.

When making Christmas cards, I try to make cards that are easy to reproduce in mass amounts since I send out 100 cards. This one is very easy to make and as you see it is very elegant with the Christ is Born stamp set found in the main Stampin' Up! catalog on page 42. I love this stamp set and love the elegance this card radiates. I also used Very Vanilla Tafetta Ribbon and painted the ribbon with Gold Acrylic Paint. You can also use Shimmer Paint but it would take longer to dry. The background was created using the Vintage Wallpaper Impressions Folder along with Bronzed God Metal Sheets accompanied with my favorite new red "Cherry Cobbler Red". The stamped center piece is heat embossed with Gold Embossing Powder and it is mounted onto the card with Stampin' Dimensionals for an added lift to make it a WOW! I love the simplicity, yet elegance of this card. Wouldn't this make a great Christmas card?

During Stampin' Up! Convention 2010, I had the opportunity to be able to be part of the Late Night Stampers Events. This was an incredible time in which I got to meet lots of demonstrators and got to see their amazing work up close. On Saturday night, through Late Night Stampers, I hosted the WOW Presentation. We had some incredible presenters among us and their work was absolutely amazing. Not only did we have 9 presenters on Saturday night, but the other WOW presentation that was held Monday night also had 9 presenters. So, we had 18 wonderfully talented demonstrators teaching great techniques to all attendees.

LNS3 In preparing for this event, Sherill (pictured here) asked me about creating a CD that would feature all the tutorials of the presentations taught during both events. I loved the idea and put together a CD featuring all the presentations and made 180 of them for the event. CD's were distributed to all attendees. After the event, Sherrill suggested offering these CD's online to all of you with the proceeds collected being donated to the local Ronald Mc Donald House here in New Mexico. I thought it was a great idea and a way to give back to our local Ronald Mc Donald House. This WOW Presentation CD with tutorials from both nights is now being made available to you for $21.95. This cost includes shipping and handling so there is no additional cost.

Stampin Demonstrator Friends at our Pre Convention WOW event... just having FUN!

Article from Stampin Success Magazine

Read below to find out what Sherrill Graff, an executive from Boulder City, Nevada, does to make the most of recruiting at her events.

I usually don't have to say much to start a conversation about recruiting. Most interested people come to me and ask about my signs.
I have a My Story display and a Join My Team poster with a Help Wanted sign, and I've challenged my group to create these for themselves and display them at all of their workshops and events.
Create a 12" x 12" double page "My Stampin' Up! Story" layout about all the things you love about being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator! If a photo is worth 1,000 words then you will soon be telling everyone you meet why they will want to join your team.
Create a Join My Team collage poster. On this poster:
Put a Help Wanted sign.
Include a photo of the Starter Kit contests
List the reasons we all want to be Stampin' Up! demonstrators.
Use a picture of cash and coupons that say Great Rewards.
Add a picture of you at convention with all your friends!

Create your own "My Story" display and present it at your next event. Explain the display and talk about the great benefits of becoming a demonstrator

Article from Stampin Success Magizine in 2008 - Sherrill Graff Stampin Up demonstrator

Growing Together: Sherrill Graff

As a busy mother of four, executive Sherrill Graff from Boulder City, Nevada, didn't have any extra time for a business when she became a demonstrator. So instead of having business and family compete for her time, Sherrill found ways to integrate them. "I had to find a way to make time to stamp while still caring for my family," she explains. "The children and I spent a part of each day stamping as a reward for getting the chores done. The faster they got them done, the longer we could stamp!"

Sherrill also organized card making get-togethers at McDonalds each Friday; moms would make cards and visit while the kids played together. Coming up on her seventeenth anniversary next year, Sherrill has enjoyed seeing "the children and the business grow side by side." She tells her new recruits to "involve their family members right from the start."

One of Sherrill's strengths is organization and goal-setting. She advises her recruits, "Plan your work, then work your plan." She sets aside family time and business time on her calendar, and prioritizes her tasks, doing the "important things and productive things first." Sherrill sets a personal sales goal each month, and then determines what events she needs to meet that goal. She tries to meet her monthly goal by the 15th, and plans a few more events each month than she thinks she needs. All her careful planning has paid off, and Sherrill met one of her biggest goals this year--$100,000 in career personal sales!

After stamping for nearly two decades, Sherrill says she still gets excited about new products, colors, and catalogs. "You would think after all these years, I'd get bored." she laughs, "Not so!" But she says it's the relationships she values the most. Her best sales advice is "to treat your customers like your friends. Sooner or later they will be."

Join my team and enjoy all this fun stuff as well
