LNS Royal Blog Tour - Elements of Style Susan Colamonico and Sherrill Graff

Susan Colamonico and Sherrill Graff created this art for you

http://stampinonit.blogspot.com/

Elements of Style
Stamp the images in so saffron, more mustard, soft suede, then Stazon black.
The flower above is punched out then crumpled to give it a vintage look.
For the inside of this envelope I used the suede DSP from the Thoroughly Modern Pack.
The flower is from the pretties kit and was dyed using the so saffron ink pad and a dauber.
Just lay the flowers on the ink pad and press it into the ink pad with the dauber. Allow the flowers to dry completely before adding them to your project.

Five scallop circles were punched out, wrinkled up, and layered to create this flower. I rubbed the edge of each circle in the suede pad. Make sure to stamp both sides of the paper before you punch out your circles.

The center for the flower above came from the baskets and blooms die.
Images stamped in so saffron, more mustard, soft suede, then Stazon black.
The black flowers look nice colored in using your saffron marker.

Late Night Stamper has gone to the birds - Stampin Up demonstrators create cards with birds on them written by Sherrill Graff

http://cindyloustampingguru.typepad.com/ When you are done here, go to Cindy's page and enter her Challenge

I see a bird on our Logo, and Owl is part of the bird family.
I have been using an owl for my Late Night Stamper group since 1992 when I became the 12th manager in the company.
I opened up my group to adopted downline soon after we started our Yahoo group because we LOVE our stampin up demo friends so much.
Late Night Stampers ROCK!

This is a handpainted paper swap that was made last year for convention 09
the paper is made by wetting the cardstock then using a stipple brush and ink refills coloring the paper until it has a watercolor look.

This was one of my favorite swap cards from convention last year. What a lot of work went into making 50 of these for me.

We made these little ducks at a library event with over 50 children and their parents.
We also gave them cute little book worm book marks with our contact information on the back.

Here is another swap cards I think you will like.

Read the next post and enter my $200 stampin up give-a-way (drawing)

I love comments

Stampin Up demonstrators cards for the kids events- Sherrill Graff, Willie Howard and Alice Hutchins

I saw your cute bookmark on the SU website. I was thinking of doing your suggestion on the bookmark. has it opened doors?

LuAnn made the bookmark, we just used her idea.

Today at 10 am we did an event at an LDS church making build a bears. Each primary age child made 2 bears and kept 1 and gave one to us for the children in the Sunrise Hospital hospital here in Las Vegas. It was a nice activity. I gave my business card out to all the adults there telling them we are always looking for more church and volunteer groups to help with making cards for kids.
I have met over 120 people in the last 6 months because of our cards for kids program. These are good people just helping the community.
I bring my newest Stampin Up team members with me to these events. They are a great help and it makes every event so much easier! "on the job training" We did this Build a Bear event at UNLV where 5 SU demonstrators came to help! The college students were wonderful.

We also had a few families show up with their children as well.
These events are very popular. Mostly because Disney was offering a free day pass to Disneyland for a day of service.

We have done this same class for 4 different recreation centers here in Las Vegas. I have a background check and a county "Ambassador" badge that allows me to teach kids anywhere in clark county. Find out if your county has a similar program.

The cards for kids program gave me the idea to contact our children's libraries.
I have been teaching at libraries each month for the past 2 years!
Each time we help the children make a paper craft we do our best to put our contact label on the back of the items we send home with the kids. We usually have our business cards with us too if anyone wants to have our information.

Last week we made chick and egg cards
next week we teach duck cards at the Clark County Library from 11 am - noon.
These wonderful librarians read stories that have something to do with our paper craft.

Last week a new library called and we added a journal 2pm class to today's events. It was fun and we met 20 new girls ages 12-16! They are all coming back next month for a mother's day class.
Then Linda the librarian, liked our project so well that she invited us back next saturday to do the same class for the younger kids!

Doing paper craft classes helps us get to know these children's librarians. They have wonderful programs for the kids. I am always pleased to see what a great job they do.

Our library also allows us to use their rooms for holding FREE make-n-take classes. It's a great way to get 20 or more people in one room all trying out our SU products!

The best part is, the library advertises these events so we always have a great turn out!!!

The library we went to today told us about a special grant they have to spend... she is ordering some craft products from us for future events! What a wonderful blessing that is. We can never have TOO MANY orders :)

New friends and customers are always welcome
I'm thankful for a job I love working with people I care about.

You too can make a difference,
one card at a time,
Sherrill Graff istmpnv@aol.com
